Job Title: Electronics Lab Technician - Ottawa Location
We are looking for a well organized and diligent electronics lab technician with a passion in consumer electronics. This position will work within a very multidisciplinary environment to see audio products from conception through development to market introduction and media/customer reviews. You will play an important supporting role, helping engineers to debug, validate and improve electronics hardware designs.
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
- Post-secondary education in the domain of electronics (Electronics technician, test technician, avionics technician or similar).
- 4+ Years of hands-on experience debugging electronics hardware and performing electrical tests at different levels (component testing, circuit testing, device testing)
- Excellent soldering skills for through-hole and SMT parts & hand-to-eye coordination.
- Attentive to details and well organized.
- Team player with good attitude and excellent communication skills
- Familiarity with Google Workspace and PowerLogic/PowerPCB, understanding the concepts of analog and digital audio and passion in sound are assets

Responsibilities:
- Inspecting PCBs assembly for conformance to design specifications.
- Building, modifying and reworking PCBs at various stages or the product design: from early prototypes to pre-production.
- Performing electrical tests of equipment, at the board and at the system levels.
- Acquiring electronic parts and equipment needed for projects
- Maintaining a clean and organized stockroom and lab facility.
- Being in charge of shipping and receiving.
