We are currently looking for an Electronics Technician to join our business in Adelaide, South Australia.
As an Electronics Technician, your responsibilities will include:
Assembling, testing, fault finding and integrating of mechanical and/or electronic systems for defence use.
Assembling and installing electrical and electronic systems in a range of equipment using 12v and 230v systems.
Mechanical assembling of electrical equipment enclosures.
Supporting QA of material and sub-assembling (inwards and outwards).
Assembling of fabricated/ manufactured parts into products and assembling sub-assemblies to produce machines and equipment.
Cable assembling and wiring.
Designing, prototyping, assembling and debugging of PCB hardware.
Assembling, troubleshooting and operating procedure document creation.
To be successful in the role of an Electronics Technician you will need to bring with you:
Relevant trade qualification and/or applied experience in hardware environments.
Component-level electronics prototyping and rework experience.
Fabrication/Machining/ Construction of electronics equipment enclosures.
Mechanical aptitude during assembly work.
Experience working in teams within technical and quality management frameworks.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Excellent stakeholder engagement skills.
Confidence and self-motivation.
Whilst not essential, experience in the following is desirable:
Experience handling fibre optics.
Experience interpreting and working with CAD models and design tools.
Defence experience.
