WORK ENVIRONMENT & REQUIREMENTS

Responsibilities:

YOUR ROLE AND IMPACT

The assistant will be required to be able to handle all the tasks to fulfill product orders. This will include all the necessary clerical, testing and material handling activities needed to process the units such as product requests/receiving, product registration, sub-inventory management control/transfers, product testing (software updates as needed or implementation of special customer requests), product testing with report forms when needed, cleaning, packing, order pick requests, packing, palletization and send orders over to the shipping department for sales evaluation and PR orders. The clerical and testing tasks will be supervised by senior members of the department with the necessary training to ensure high quality standards of work-product are met. Work load fluctuates on a daily basis, therefore there will be times when it will be needed to provide repair center material handling support, additional product testing for Customer Care or Technical Support when requested for RMA related purposes, rework or product conversion activities and documentation activities. In this department you will be continuously adapting to changing conditions and learning new skills and tasks to support the company as a whole.

DAY TO DAY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Microsoft Office skills, Android OS, Apple iOS skills, computer desktop/laptop skills will be used every day to perform the necessary tasks. You will be trained on any areas you may be lacking.
  • Use of Microsoft Excel on a daily basis to analyze the listing of products to create the daily document that team members will work to complete via e-mail.
  • Use of Outlook e-mail to print out daily and for use to submit daily to Sales Admin team to request the sales picks for orders.
  • Checking accuracy of physical product received from other departments prior to receiving product into the department inventories. (This is for inventory management control.)
  • Required to be able to lift up to 50lbs to unpack product for testing.
  • Use of test equipment will be necessary and training for proper use will be provided.
  • Required to perform testing/programming/updating of product (sales evaluation and PR units) as required to meet daily requirements
  • Required to clean product (if necessary after testing) prior to re-packing product into the box.
  • Required to process pick orders, scan and printing UPC labels to be affixed to shipping boxes and moving them to the shipping department.
  • Double-boxing of some items may be needed for palletization purposes due to their smaller sizes as well as for those items that may be easily damaged in transit to customer.
  • Required to perform palletization tasks such as placing product on pallet, strapping of product, adding necessary paperwork to palletized product, adding strapping kits to the palletized product, stretch wrapping the product, and final security tape taping.
  • Required pallet jack skills needed to transport product to the shipping department.
  • Required to make strapping kits to be added for shipments of palletized product.
  • Perform reworking/converting products as needed to fulfill sales orders.
  • Assist the repair department with material handling when directed my management to help with product in-feeding of products for repair techs, printing of traveler sheets or helping with repaired product cleaning, packing, re-boxing, accessory insertion and UPC printing.
  • Housekeeping is necessary on a daily basis to keep lab room and warehouse area in vicinity of the lab clean and orderly.
  • Perform department physical inventory count tasks two or more times per year.
