Description:

QUALIFICATIONS
- Demonstrated success in teaching
- Must have a Colorado State license or a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited
college or university and a passing score on the Praxis exam in your area of
concentration (Elementary Education, Music, Technology, Physical Education etc) or
must qualify under ESSA.

Responsibilities:
PURPOSE STATEMENT
Grand Peak Academy is seeking an elementary teacher for the 2024-2025 school year! This
teacher will join a committed team of educators to strengthen the foundation of an extraordinary
school. In their daily practice, GPA teachers will develop and implement a curriculum that meets
all students’ needs, cultivate a culture that encourages young learners and leaders, and
leverage data and evidence-based teaching practices.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Provide an inviting, exciting, inclusive, and joyful classical learning environment;
- Participate wholeheartedly in professional development and enrich expertise in the
subject area;
- Develop curriculum and lesson plans that are rigorous, clear, measurable, and
aligned with Colorado Standards and GPA’s instructional approaches;
- Embrace school initiatives and curriculum including Core Knowledge, CKLA, CHAMPS,
and Eureka Math in planning for and teaching a diverse classroom of students with a
wide variety of learning styles, needs and behaviors;
- Follow the school’s policies and procedures for student conduct, discipline, and
social emotional development;
- Form meaningful relationships with families and involve parents in their children’s
education.
