Responsibilities:

ROLE SUMMARY:

The Field Service Representative/Eligibility Analyst visits patients in their homes and businesses to facilitate completion of government applications, obtaining missing documentation, and verifying existence of third-party insurance. The Field Service Representative/Eligibility Analyst works with eligibility staff and operations team to ensure the service achieves maximum productivity and profitability. The Field Service Representative/Eligibility Analyst can juggle multiple priorities and work well independently and as part of a collaborative team.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develops key government relationships and maintains a positive and professional relationship with county and state contacts
  • Partners in coordinating and conducting quarterly meetings with county officials to ensure effective processes
  • Maintains and updates county contacts and relationships
  • Partners in coordinating and scheduling face-to-face appointments when necessary
  • Coordinates and schedules application submission to county/state offices. Schedules the days that applications are submitted to the county
  • Follows-up with county/state on status of applications for approval within specified timeframes
  • Develops and implements appropriate improvement processes with county/state procedures
  • Provides update on changes in state/county processing guidelines or contacts
  • Investigates and resolves specific county problems or concerns as identified by eligibility staff
  • Provides monthly reports to leadership of county/state activity to support effective processes or to identify potential areas of concern Conduct field visits to various locations including homes, businesses, etc.
  • Prepare all necessary applications and forms needed for field services prior to leaving the office
  • Transport patients to various locations as needed, i.e. MVD, SSA, etc.
  • Act as courier between office and offsite staff, and to governmental facilities.
  • Cover a Patient Service Representative case load as needed.
  • Provide requesting Patient Service Representative any applications or documents secured during the field visit the same day. Maintain detailed and updated documentation in multiple systems
  • Make a serious attempt to collect the information needed, i.e. Call any available phone numbers provided while in the field, be proficient in completing all necessary applications and forms
  • Maintain professional and courteous working relationship with government and client staff.
  • Respond in a timely and professional manner to staff requests for information the way.
  • Interpret policies and procedures as established by management.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
  • Occasional availability for overtime, weekends, and evening as needed.
  • Available if needed to rotate on site or in the office as an EA if needed
  • Understands and agrees to role-specific information security access and responsibilities
  • Ensures safety and confidentiality of data and systems by adhering to the organizations information security policies
  • Reads, understands, and agrees to security policies and complete all annual security and compliance training

ROLE REQUIREMENTS:

  • 2+ years of experience working in a professional office & fast-paced environment
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • SSA, Medicare, Medicaid and eligibility program knowledge and expertise
  • Strong organizational and planning skills
