Responsibilities:

YOUR FUTURE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assess clients’ email security needs and requirements, and recommend appropriate solutions based on industry best practices and standards.
  • Design and implement email security architectures and configurations using platforms such as Abnormal Security, Proofpoint, Mimecast, or similar solutions.
  • Configure and deploy advanced threat protection mechanisms, including anti-phishing, anti-spoofing, malware detection, and email encryption.
  • Conduct security assessments and audits of clients’ email systems to identify vulnerabilities and gaps in their security posture.
  • Develop and implement email security policies, procedures, and standards to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Provide guidance and recommendations to clients on best practices for securing their email systems and protecting against emerging threats.
  • Monitor and analyze email security events and alerts, and respond to security incidents in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to address complex email security issues and implement remediation actions.
  • Stay current with the latest email security threats, trends, and technologies, and assess their potential impact on clients’ email systems.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on email security, providing expertise and guidance to both internal teams and clients.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in email security, with hands-on experience deploying and configuring email security solutions.
  • Strong understanding of email protocols, including SMTP, POP3, IMAP, and DMARC, DKIM, SPF authentication mechanisms.
  • Experience with email security platforms such as Abnormal Security, Proofpoint, Mimecast, or similar solutions.
  • Familiarity with email encryption technologies and standards, including S/MIME and PGP.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Relevant certifications such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Email Security Specialist (CESS), or similar certifications are preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on innovation and continuous improvement.
