EDUCATION

  • B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering

EXPERIENCE

  • Min. 5 years of FPGA design experience.
  • Proficiency with Intel/Altera FPGA design/simulation tool chain.
  • Good understanding of FPGA design and simulation.
  • Hands-on use and knowledge of system verilog, Matlab/Simulink FPGA design or High Level Synthensis.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES

  • Interest in working with low frequency, high power RF.
  • Ability to work in a medium volume production environment.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of industry protocols such as PCIe, SPI, I2C.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering preferred
  • Experience with microcontrollers is a plus.
  • Experience with scientific instrumentation and/or with a medical device company is a plus
  • Development of products under a quality system that meets ISO13485 and FDA regulations is preferred

Responsibilities:

  • Work with a multi-disciplinary team to design FPGA based precision analog and low frequency RF systems for medical devices and scientific instruments.
  • Apply these efforts to proof-of-concept experiments, product enhancements, and new product development
  • Develop and maintain documentation for FPGA designs and systems.
