About the position
For our core engineering team, we are looking for an Embedded / IoT Systems Engineer who will take ownership of software development for our Linux-based on-board computer to ensure AWAKE Mobility’s platform is kept fed with high-quality vehicle data.
Tasks
What you will be responsible for
- Designing and developing (embedded) software for our on-board computer to reliably collect, process, and transmit vehicle data
- Building resources on AWS that ingest data delivered by our on-board computers
- Ensuring our on-board computers remain secure by using state-of-the-art security methods
- Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in embedded systems and IoT development, and apply them to our on-board computers
Requirements
What you bring to the table
- At least 5 years of experience in developing embedded/IoT systems running Linux
- Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in embedded development: C/C++ and shell scripting. Python is a big plus
- An excellent grasp of IoT concepts, protocols, and security
- Experience with vehicle sensor data and automotive communication protocols such as CAN and OBD
- Experience with AWS
- Good verbal and written communication skills in both German and English
