Description:

JOB DESCRIPTION

Focus on developing embedded controllers for EV charging solutions and other smart Power charging. Work on design, optimization, integration, and testing of the control firmware for AC and DC fast chargers.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Proficient with mainstream programming languages. Strong experience w/ embedded software development methods and tools, including model-based development.
  • Working knowledge of vehicle charging standards CCS/ChadeMO, OCPP Backend.
  • BS degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science, mechanical engineering, etc.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience developing real-time embedded software in the automotive industry.
  • Deep knowledge of microcontrollers, microprocessors, etc.
  • Working knowledge of mechatronics systems, classical / modern control theories.
  • Ability to coordinate and work with suppliers and engineering service partners for software design and integration.
  • Good verbal and written language skills. Ability to communicate and work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Based on Charger function/feature and performance target, work cross-functionally with various departments to determine software design requirements, create an implementation plan and necessary supporting documents.
  • Support sourcing of system solutions. Determine technical approach and evaluate the software development and integration tasks.
  • Work with suppliers and engineering service partners to integrate systems and components into the overall EV solution.
  • Design, develop, and test control, communication, and diagnostics software for CCS and ISO15118 compliant
  • Contribute to all phases of the software development cycle including requirements, prototyping, design, implementation, and verification etc. Summarize the technical and development process status on a regular basis and report to management.
