Assistant Tax Accountant for EMEA

SUMMARY OF MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Accounting/Business qualification and 2+years’ experience in similar position. Studying to be either a qualified Accountant with ACA/ACCA/IATI/CIMA or a qualified Tax professional with the Irish Tax Institute.
  • Ability to work effectively as a member of a team and cross functionally.
  • Ability to see projects through from end-to-end.
  • Strong computer and analytical skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and other applicable software programs.
  • System & process-driven mindset with a continuous improvement focus.
  • Oracle or similar ERP system experience preferable.
  • Excellent organization, accuracy, and attention to detail.
  • Possess the ability to work under pressure or to tight deadlines.

Responsibilities:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS PERFORMED

  • Assist with tax compliance for EMEA sites.
  • Assist with monitoring corporate tax exposure across EMEA sites.
  • Assist with the preparation of the review of transfer pricing across contract manufacturing sites and LRD sites to ensure it is in line with relevant transfer pricing studies.
  • Assist with the coordination of the preparation of R&D tax credit.
  • Assist with tax provision & deferred tax calculations.
  • Assist with reconciliation of effective corporate rates vs. statutory rates across EMEA entities.
  • Assist with any external audit queries in relation to tax.
  • Assist with maintaining and developing tax policy, procedures, systems and control environment.
  • Assist with managing deadlines to ensure all tax returns are filed correctly and on time.
  • Assist with the reconciliation of all tax accounts across EMEA.
  • Work as part of a cross functional team responsible for ensuring compliance with BEP’s regulations.
  • Work with corporate to ensure compliance with U.S. tax laws.
  • Assist with processing and filing various tax returns as required.
  • Assist with tax planning as required.
  • Research various tax issues as required.
  • Performs a variety of other related tax tasks, as required.
