Description:
Please note that this is a 15-month temporary position.
About this role
In this role you will be covering trade compliance improvements and ensure overall trade compliance for EU/UK. You will report directly to the Director of Global Trade Compliance.
What you will do
- Ensure Trade Compliance for Customs compliance, Export control and Supply Chain Security in assigned region
- Daily support for customs operations
- Implementation of new customs laws and regulations
- Risk assessment, control, and support on internal and external audit
- Knowledge Sharing, training, and reporting
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders (e.g. customs authorities, BAFA, HMRC) regarding trade compliance matters
- AEO monitoring
- Participate in (cross-functional) projects
What you will need
- Bachelor ‘s or Master ‘s Degree in economics, engineering or another related discipline
- Minimum 3+ years’ experience in a similar role depending on educational credentials
- Good understanding in international trade and supply chain
- Proficient knowledge in export control, import & export, proficient in EU/UK customs compliance
- Financial and operational problem solving and analysis skills
- Result oriented and strong attention to detail
- Good organizational skills
- Continuous improvement mindset
- Business fluent in German and English, both verbal and written
- Good MS Office knowledge
