THE ROLE
The Category Leader, Contractor Services partners with all Operational functions and business partners to develop and execute long term Procurement strategies aligned with business goals. The Category Leader primary function is to implement sound, innovative supply strategies through market intelligence and risk analysis, sourcing, supplier selection, contract negotiation and SRM. The Category Leader will also develop processes to ensure stakeholder engagement and date driven decision making. He/She will prepare requests for quotes / proposals and negotiate regional agreements for Contractor Services across ADM.
This role mostly involve overseeing the procurement and management of repair and maintenance contractors for our factories located in Europe. As the Contractors Category Leader, you’ll work closely with stakeholders, such as factory managers and maintenance teams, to ensure that the repair and maintenance needs are met efficiently and effectively while ensuring deployment of category strategies in Europe.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Evaluate market intelligence, internal business goals and historical spend to determine strategic opportunities
- Establishing open channels of communication with stakeholders to keep them informed about relevant developments, decisions, and progress. Achieve common goals and address shared challenges.
- Establish short and long term category metrics and TCO savings targets, monitor performance, and communicate this to stakeholders.
- Act as change agent and advocate for procurement as a value added function
- Prepare and issue RFI or RFP to qualified suppliers, analyze supplier responses and make data driven sourcing recommendations.
- Act as prime negotiator with suppliers on price, terms, quality, service, and other business requirements
- Ensure compliance with key performance indicators (KPIs), manage SRM and lead QBR’s
- Contractual Enhancement: Collaborate closely with vendors to facilitate the expansion of contractual coverage, ensuring that a higher percentage of contractor spending is covered by contracts.
- Partner with internal risk, HR, and compliance groups to ensure category strategies are compliant with relevant laws, regulations and risk policies.
