Description:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated, dynamic and committed individual to join our emergency department educational team as a Band 6 clinical practice educator.
If you are an experienced Emergency Nurse who is passionate about training and education and wants to make a difference in the development and support of our clinical workforce this is the post for you. You will work as part of the ED educational team alongside the Lead Clinical Practice Facilitator. This will include supporting staff to meet the RCN ECA National Curriculum and competency framework for Emergency Nursing, delivery of training sessions, clinical competencies assessments in practice, and support the ED MDT with other educational needs.
There are opportunities for attending courses like ALS/APLS, NTACC, AIMS and other courses to support you as the educator for the department.
Work clinically in the Emergency department to support the junior workforce to ensure safe, effective and quality care.
Contributing to the delivery of RCN ECA National Curriculum and competency framework for Emergency Nursing core clinical educational programmes including:
clinical induction programmes, AIMS course, Triage training delivery, minor Injuries training.
Support, coaching and assessment in the workplace for various members of the clinical workforce.
Working alongside ED Nursing Teams and Specialists to provide tailored educational support to clinical teams as part of quality improvement and organisational change initiatives.
Working with the Lead CPF and Matrons to formulate plans to meet identified educational needs for specific staff/groups.
Provide training and assessment in the use of medical devices/ ANTT and Clinical competencies.
