Description:
JOB DESCRIPTION
Partners with Intel customers, ecosystem software vendors, and/or the opensource community to develop, integrate, test, tune, debug, optimize and differentiate software. Engages as a technical expert or trusted technical advisor to drive Intel value and differentiation in or across disciplines such as Enterprise, Cloud, Client, HPC, AI, Gaming, Graphics, Analytics and/or Edge.
Utilizes deep domain and market segment expertise to research, develop, and prototype software that leverages and drives adoption of Intel product capabilities. Evangelizes software tools and technologies to the ecosystem to enable and support Intel products.
Responsible for leading application preenabling, product development, and/or product hardening to launch future products and provide customer support. May deliver collateral and training, including competitive/differentiated benchmarks, as well as may identify and drive key workloads into product requirements and landing zones for future product design, simulation, projection methods, and tools.
Drives product improvements that minimize the need for explicit enabling and maximizes scale adoption.
In Q4 2023, Intel announced Altera will be reported as a separate business unit beginning on January 1, 2024 with ongoing support from Intel. This position is associated to that standalone business strategy and is expected to fully transition to a standalone company at some time in the future.
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Candidate must possess a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related STEM field (documentation related to bachelor’s degree completion will be required).
- Experience with FPGA and/or ASIC (e.g. VHDL, Verilog, SystemVerilog coding, validation and/or simulation/verification tools)
- 2+ years of experience with bring up and debug of memory interfaces or relevant coursework in memory interfaces.
- Advanced English.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Masters’ degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering with 3 years of experience or relevant coursework in memory interfaces
- 7+ years of experience with FPGA and/or ASIC including Verilog and/or VHDL coding and simulation/verification tools.
- Design experience using FPGAs with high performance External Memory Interface controllers and protocols including DDR3/DDR4 SDRAM and/or QDR-IV SRAM.
Design experience using FPGAs with high-speed serial transceivers, high-speed board design, and high-speed serial bus protocols PCIe and/or Ethernet.
- 3+ years of experience in customer support or customer facing role
- 3+ years of experience with design and bring up of memory IP
- Experience with FPGA implementations in bringing up memory IP
- Experience with memory validation compliance and protocol analyzer
- Experience with interoperability compliance tests for memory IP
