Description:

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant field such as environmental science, agriculture economics, or other related disciplines
At least 3 years of experience in related fields
Strong expertise in emissions calculation methodologies, particularly in the context of agricultural activities
Experience with performing Life Cycle Assessments (LCA) of agricultural value chain is highly desirable
Familiarity with agricultural systems, practices, technologies and their associated emissions
Experience working in sustainability in a corporate environment is preferred
Strong analytical skills with acute attention to detail
Strong project management skills
Excellent spoken and written English skills.

The Team: We are currently looking for a Sustainability Analyst to join S&P Global Commodity Insights’ dynamic Agribusiness Research, to help drive Agribusiness Sustainability data and insights subscription services. The Agribusiness group offers data and research solutions on major crops and food commodities, fertilizers, biofuels, crop science, and animal health.
The Role : We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Emissions Analyst specializing in agriculture to join our team. These include researching, gathering data, and developing insights on ESG trends and risks in Agribusiness, regulatory frameworks, emissions, and carbon negative opportunities for the industry.
Responsibilities: You will play a crucial role in our organization by providing expertise in agricultural emissions and other ESG aspects as well as analyze and assess the environmental impact of agricultural practice and processes. You are applying for a dynamic career path within a passionate and fast paced environment. More specifically, responsibilities include:
Perform emissions calculations to quantify GHG with agricultural activities such as crop production, livestock farming, and land use changes, in strong collaboration with the Centre for Emissions Excellence and the Data Science teams at S&P Global Commodity Insights.
Employ relevant models and tools to evaluate the environmental performance and sustainability of various agricultural systems, practices and technologies.
Conduct economic modelling to assess the costs and benefits of implementing emission reduction strategies and identify opportunities for improving resource efficiency in agriculture.
Stay up-to-date with the latest research, methodologies and regulations related to agricultural sustainability.
Harness existing data sets, identify new data sets for collection and analysis and conduct rigorous reviews of the quality of that information
Engage with customers and potential customers, demonstrating expertise and acting as ambassador for S&P Global pursuit of analytical excellence
