SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or Data Engineering
• Intermediate/ expert skills in software development
• Programming Skills (C#, Python, API, Postman), DevOps (GitHub, GitLab, Git, CI/CD), Infrastructures (Azure, OpenShift, Airflow, VM), Data Engineering Skills (SQL, Snowflake, Azure Data Factory)
• Aspiration to develop career in Software Development and/ or Data Engineering
• Excellent communication skills – to communicate to/ with team members, stakeholders, and external parties
• Data Engineering skillsets would be a bonus
• Growth-mindset – a demonstrated pattern of self-learning and skills growth

WHAT ROLE YOU WILL PLAY IN OUR TEAM

• Develop, manage and support Upstream Subsurface Data Management applications and tools, ingestion pipeline and workflows.
• Participate as a member and contributor to Open Subsurface Data Universe (OSDU) open group community. We are actively engaged and directly involved in developing and open source data platforms and contributing to the setting of data standards for the energy industry.
• The role will be based in Kuala Lumpur Global Business Center, located at Menara ExxonMobil, KL.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Advocate for and model secure coding practices
• Promote quality development principles and techniques
• Participate in paired programming, code reviews, and other means of promoting code quality
• Inspect and evaluate third party code development
• Mentor others by coaching and providing feedback
• Develop expertise in relevant technology stack - an important role in defining user experience, performance, and overall success
