Salary Range: $80,049 to $97,980
JOB SUMMARY
Reporting to the Manager, Human Resources, the Employee Experience Specialist will serve as the organizational lead on employee engagement and culture, and equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) for CICan. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring employee experience initiatives to ensure a safe, inclusive, and welcoming workplace for all. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work collaboratively with our management team, employees, and other stakeholders to promote and integrate EDI, employee engagement and recognition into all aspects of our organization.
The Employee Experience Specialist will work to help keep CICan as an employer of choice by implementing meaningful employee engagement approaches; promoting the CICan culture, value, and brand; and by creating an exceptional and inclusive employee experience. Under the guidance of the Human Resources Manager, this role will be responsible for helping to develop and maintain programs, policies, and practices focused on retention, culture, recognition, engagement, and training.
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS
- Leads the development and reflection on human resources policies, staffing processes and practices as they relate to EDI, culture, and employee engagement;
- Creates proactive approaches to well-being in the organization to drive physical and mental well-being
- Leads CICan culture-building;
- Participates in the Joint Health & Safety Committee.
- Performs other related duties as may be assigned from time to time.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education and Experience
- Graduate from a post-secondary institution in Human Resources Management or equivalent training and several years of experience in human resources.
- A minimum of three (3) years of progressive Human Resources experience, preferably with experience in Diversity, Equity & Inclusion.
- Fluency in English and French.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Demonstrated knowledge of Employment Standards Act (ESA).
- Demonstrated ability to engage effectively with managers and employees at various levels of the organization.
- Ability to work with tact and discretion with a high level of confidential information.Excellent organizational skills and initiative

DESIRABLE REQUIREMENTS
- CHRP designation
- Experience with an HRIS system
