THE OPPORTUNITY

We are on the lookout for an Employee Health Benefits Lead to join our People team!
In this role, you will co-lead the design of, and be responsible for the delivery of the Medical Benefits and Health Insurance component of the Viva Healthier and Happier strategy across APAC. This is an established global strategic initiative for Bupa that will significantly enhance the medical and wellbeing benefits we offer, enabling us to achieve our purpose with our own people.
You will build and maintain strong relationships with business stakeholders from across APAC and more broadly across Bupa globally to ensure that the Viva Health Insurance and Medical Benefit components of the Viva program remain relevant and progresses with the needs of the APAC employee base.
To be successful in the role, you will have strong stakeholder management, experience in wellbeing programs and comfortable leading a small team.
This is a permanent role and can be based in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane or Adelaide with hybrid working arrangements.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and execution of the Viva strategy surrounding health insurance and medical benefit offerings across the business.
  • Lead the development and execution of communication plans, ensuring clear and effective employee communication
  • Work with Finance to manage and report on budget, including allocation and forecasting for various aspects of health insurance and medical benefits.
  • Work directly with external providers and internal communications teams to facilitate targeted campaigns to drive awareness and uptake, inclusive of developing packs for the APAC SteerCo, Group stakeholders and Group SteerCo, as required.
  • Collaborate closely with the Wellbeing Lead to integrate health insurance and medical benefit offerings into Viva wellbeing campaigns.
  • Identify new medical and wellbeing benefits that may be attractive to our people and scope these opportunities for inclusion in the program.
  • Support the governance of the Viva Wellbeing Program with key stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with Health Insurance specialists and the broader Health Insurance Business on challenges, opportunities for improvement, and feedback regarding the Health Insurance offerings.
  • Support team members to market and measure the efficacy of the Health Insurance offer and Medical Benefits, and develop strategies to improve, based on feedback received
