Description:

We’re looking for a Employee Relations Advisor to join us in Bradford
The main purpose of the role is to help deliver high quality and consistent Employee Relations advice including providing Employee Relations advice, support and coaching line managers across the end-to-end employee lifecycle.

Working as part of the small Employee Relations Team, you will help us to deliver an efficient ER service to Liberty Global across its UK and Netherlands business. The role will include:

  • Employee Relations Case Management – proactively advising and supporting Line Managers regarding ER employment issues such as sickness absence, performance management etc.
  • Carrying out case reviews assessing risk and advising accordingly
  • Attendance at meetings where appropriate
  • Provide timely and accurate advice to Line Managers in ER process, procedures, and ER Policy and employment law risk
  • Supporting Liberty Global with Restructures, TUPE, settlements, and other business change processes with people impact
  • Supporting with People Policy development and Line Manager support tools.
  • Working with wider business stakeholders on ad hoc People Projects
  • Analysis of ER data, business insights and trend analysis
  • Preparation of Employment Tribunal bundles

What will you be doing?

  • Develop relationships and Work closely with key business stakeholders (People Business Partners, Line management and people team)
  • Identify and escalate high risk issues to Snr ER Manager and key stakeholders.
  • Create and maintain accurate documentation, trackers, and data.
  • Data analysis production and reporting as required.
  • Provide and facilitate technical training to Line Managers as required.
  • Ensure a high level of confidentiality.
  • Understand the needs of internal customers and supports the continuous improvement of the ER team and service.
  • Support NL as required.

We tend to look for people with the following:

Essential Skills:

  • Relevant experience either working as an ER advisor / ER case management or generalist HR Advisor role with high level of ER exposure ideally within a customer orientated commercial environment.
  • A solid understanding of UK employment legislation, it’s application and best practice
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret data, trends, and insights.
  • Demonstration of proactive commercially based approach to case management and risk
  • Experience of supporting Business Change initiatives such as TUPE and Re structures
  • Experience with working closely with stakeholders effectively, resolving issues and understanding drivers/needs, building good relationships with internal and external departments and 3rd party organisation
  • Self-motivated proactive goal oriented, well-organised, adaptable, and resilient
  • Good knowledge of with Microsoft Office products, HR systems
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Has some exposure to managing ACAS and ET claims.

PREFERRED EDUCATION/ QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A university degree
  • CIPD qualification in the UK
