Description:

QUALIFIED APPLICANTS MUST POSSESS, AND APPLICATION MUST CLEARLY REFLECT WORK EXPERIENCE THAT DEMONSTRATES THE FOLLOWING:

  • Knowledge of applicable State and federal employment laws.
  • Experience in interpreting and applying State personnel laws and policies.
  • Demonstrated ability to objectively analyze a variety of employee relations issues and make sound recommendations on appropriate courses of action.

Management preference will be given to candidates with:

  • Work experience in government human resources, especially employee relations.
  • Experience advising supervisors, managers, or HR practitioners on discipline and other employment actions and reviewing and editing documents.
  • Experience in mediation, conflict resolution, and conducting workplace investigations.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s degree, typically in Human Resources or related field from an appropriately accredited institution and 4 years of experience required;
OR
High school or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and 6 years of progressive experience in Human Resources;
OR
equivalent combination or education and experience.
