Description:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for talented undergraduate students who are seeking a Human Resources placement year. You will work as part of the Human Resources team here at Frimley Health Foundation Trust and provide excellent administration and support across a wide range of HR activities.
The role is based in our corporate offices at Heatherwood Hospital, Ascot and you should be prepared to travel across all Trust sites and to external events (i.e., recruitment open days) as required. We support flexible working to help our staff balance their work and home responsibilities, which is why we offer a hybrid approach working both from our Ascot offices and at home.
These roles are fixed term for up to 12 months (subject to university placement criteria). You will currently be in your second year at university studying towards a human resources or business studies related degree and be required to undertake an industrial placement year.
Frimley Health is one of the largest and most respected NHS Trusts in the South of England. With London and the South Coast both within easy reach, it’s a great part of the country to work in. Our size and clinical excellence make our Trust the perfect place to progress your career too. We know just how important our employees are to what we do. So, we’ve worked hard to create a trust where you will know you are valued, respected and rewarded. There’s no better place to take your career forward, however you see your future.
Frimley Health Foundation NHS Trust is pleased to offer you a wide range of flexible benefits in addition to your salary. With so much choice, we hope there is something to suit everyone.
Working alongside experienced strategic and operational HR professionals, you will learn key skills such as effective communication, project management, presentation and organisational abilities, in order to become a well-rounded HR professional. There will also be access to various training courses and development opportunities.
In addition, you will gain an understanding of the HR function and how it operates within the NHS, with exposure across a wide range of HR activities, undertaking various administrative duties and supporting project work. This may include operational HR, resourcing, temporary staffing, workforce information, eRostering and employee relations.
