Our three Endoscopy departments, located at Hammersmith Hospital, St. Mary’s Hospital, and Charing Cross Hospital, offer a comprehensive array of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, including Upper and Lower GI Endoscopy – Gastroscopy, Colonoscopy, Flexi Sigmoidoscopy, and Bronchoscopy.
At Charing Cross, we boast a state-of-the-art Endoscopy unit with four procedure rooms in a newly refurbished facility. We are expanding our team to meet the increasing demand for Endoscopy and Bowel Screening Services. Here, you’ll have the opportunity to collaborate with our colleagues from the West London Bowel Cancer Screening Programme, delivering FOBT and Bowel Scope Services.
There are ample opportunities for career progression within our teams, and we are committed to providing training of the highest standard.
We have also pioneered an Endoscopy nurse on-call service to enhance patient outcomes, aligning with the recommendations from the National Institute for Clinical Excellence (NICE) for Upper Gastrointestinal Bleed guidance.
To provide high quality, effective, individualised care to all patients by assessing care needs and developing, implementing and evaluating them without supervision
To assist the Endoscopy unit manager in leading the nursing team and deputise in their absence
Monitor standards of nursing care and take appropriate action to maintain and improve them
To respond to patients, relatives and carers concerns as they arise and take remedial action as required.
