Responsibilities:
THE ROLE
The RBWM declared a climate emergency in June 2019 with the commitment to achieving a target of net zero carbon across the Royal Borough by 2050 at the latest. The Environment and Climate Change Strategy outlines the councils targets and committements. As part of these commitments, the council is working towards reducing energy demand across the councils buildings and assets.
The Sustainability and Climate Change Team work across the themes of the Environment and Climate Change Strategy, and the team are now looking for a dedicated Energy Analyst to join our friendly and enthusiastic team. The Energy Analyst will elevate the councils utility management and reporting ability, playing a significant role in transforming the councils management of utilities. This will play a pivotal part in satisfying the councils energy reduction target.
THE ROLE WILL INVOLVE:
- The validation and processing of utility bills received by the Council ensuring they are accurate and paid in a timely manner.
- To analyse and present utility data received by the Council to identify opportunities for financial and carbon savings to support the Council’s ambitious carbon reduction targets.
- Support the Net Zero Energy Manager to deliver effective energy management processes across the Council, working with key internal stakeholders from across the organisation to understand energy consumption patterns.
