Responsibilities:
Research and Analysis
- Carry out analytical work on key energy issues in Southeast Asia.
- Support the development of new policies and advice in response to complex issues, including through carrying out and participating in specific sectoral and/or regional studies related to developments in the energy sector and energy policies of countries in the region.
- Co-author and contribute to relevant IEA outputs, including project reports, web content, training material and capacity building programmes, presentations and input to other IEA products, in collaboration with other analysts and technical experts in the Agency.
Liaison and Outreach
- Maintain and enhance IEA’s relations and engagement with various stakeholders in Southeast Asia, both at a technical and higher level, including with government officials, other international organisations, industry, research institutes, universities and NGOs.
- Collaborate with relevant colleagues across the IEA in support of the broader IEA efforts to strengthen IEA engagement with countries across the region, industry and relevant stakeholders.
- Organise and co-ordinate relevant bilateral and multilateral events,workshops and activities in Southeast Asia with the participation of relevant countries, organisations and other stakeholders in the region.
- Identify opportunities for sharing relevant knowledge between countries, and for contributing to build stakeholder communities for selected energy topics at country, regional and sectoral levels.
