Responsibilities:
ROLE OVERVIEW
Working within our long established and growing Energy Team (part of Savills Earth), we are looking to recruit an energy specialist with a minimum of two years’ experience. We require a self-motivated and enthusiastic individual who is ambitious.
The successful candidate must have experience with undertaking feasibilities studies for energy infrastructure installs, with specific experience in solar, battery storage and EVs. They must be able to demonstrate that they have capabilities to assist with financial/data analysis. They must have a good technical understanding of the energy sector and have strong project management skills in order to progress projects within an agreed budget and timeframe.
The role will encompass a diverse range of clients from rural businesses to large industrial warehouses.
This is an excellent opportunity to work as part of Savills Earth, the newest Division in Savills, aimed at helping clients deliver on their net zero ambitions.
The role is reporting to our Perth (Scotland) office but will allow flexibility to work from another Savills office or remotely; from home, client offices and on site.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Acting on behalf of a range of clients (private, clients, developers, operators) to ensure that the right investment into renewable energy and low carbon infrastructure is undertaken
- Building strong relationships with clients and reporting to them professionally
- Contributing in developing the business through networking to build up close relationships with existing and new clients and their professional advisors
- Analysis on operating budgets of energy systems (including IRR and NPV outputs)
- Produce option analysis or feasibility reports for a range of technologies and scales
- Write detailed reports
- Support Landlord and Occupier negotiations
- Manage tendering of sites to renewable energy installers
- Work with Savills Engineering Design Consultants and Building Project Consultants to ensure that installs are completed correctly and that correct O&M, and billing systems are put in place
- Engage with DNO and submit grid applications
