QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• Tertiary qualifications in computer science, engineering, economics, mathematic or another relevant quantitative discipline
• Interest in power systems and at least three years of experience in the workplace
• Preferred experience with Plexos or similar energy dispatch market simulation tools
• Proficient in data quality control, extraction, analysis and management including use of database tools and data visualisation products such as PowerBI
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build robust working relationships with stakeholders
• Self-driven, well-organised, and have an eye for detail
• Strong level of resilience with an ability to manage competing deadline

• Operating and maintaining short-term dispatch electricity models
• Identify future risks and opportunities to better improve forecast accuracy
• Collaboration with Hive Operators and Energy Planners to comprehend energy requirement and electric dispatch modelling methodologies and processes
• Overseeing the knowledge bases to ensure the effective functioning of our short-term energy models
• Assist the team to develop new analytical capabilities to address emerging issues
