Description:

Policy@Manchester works as an informed broker connecting our researchers with those working on policy, supporting and smoothing the process of knowledge exchange where needed.
We work with researchers right across the University, providing professional advice on how academics can best engage with policy audiences. Outputs include thought leadership publications, policy articles, an events programme, and training sessions which provide researchers with knowledge, skills and confidence.
We are looking for two talented individuals to help us ensure Manchester’s research-based knowledge engages and impacts on policy regionally, nationally and internationally. This is a great opportunity to support an exciting programme of work and to be part of a highly regarded, award-winning team.
You will support our communications activity by drafting policy related articles, briefings and reports for a range of audiences, alongside social media across our platforms. You will have a good understanding of how to make writing accessible for readers who have limited subject knowledge or understanding of complex research. The team runs a comprehensive programme of events throughout the year, and you will be involved in supporting organisation and delivery.
Working with the team, you will support the tracking of our engagement activity, measuring and compiling our outputs into reports which are clear, concise and accurate.
