Description:

JOB SUMMARY

The Engineer is responsible for ensuring that the property is in excellent condition for our guests and Team Members so our guests have no worries while they are staying with us. Under the direction of the Operations Manager, and the Area Chief Engineer, you would be responsible for maintaining all equipment, systems and building components, including, but not limited to, mechanical and electrical systems, pumps, HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, locks, furniture, paint, wall coverings, tile and other equipment.

Responsibilities:

  • Make effective judgments on the various aspects of general repairs and maintenance and effectively solve guest and operational problems.
  • Broad working knowledge of HVAC, MEP and refrigeration systems, including repair, maintenance and basic electric and plumbing skills.
  • Ability to troubleshoot equipment and identify needs and parts.
  • Work closely with Operations and Guest Service Manager to ensure coordination of activities.
  • Ensure projects are completed according to specifications and on time by studying work schedules and estimating worker-hour requirements for completion.
  • Listen to and promptly act to resolve guest problems and complaints.
  • Maintain a clean and organized maintenance shop.
  • Keeps Operations Manager promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance so that prompt corrective action can be taken.
