WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Toyota’s Production Engineering Battery department is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Production Engineer to work in the Battery group.
The primary responsibility of this position is to prepare, coordinate and install Powertrain battery QC equipment to support new battery production lines.
This position will be located at TBMNC in Liberty, NC and report to the Engineering Manager for Battery.
The person in this role will support the Battery department’s objective to execute Capital Projects from planning thru Start of Production (SOP).
Responsibilities:
- Leading the cost planning, budget creation, machine specification, procurement, validation, installation, registration & permitting, and correlation of battery QC equipment.
- Creating and maintaining detailed schedule and budget for assigned area
- Understanding QC area work flow and chemical usage, to enable appropriate equipment layout in the QC lab, with direct support from manager.
- Learning machine usage and utilization rates, to enable future VE proposals, with direct support from manager.
- Directly supporting other engineers or technicians through a mentorship
- Participate in cross functional working groups across the local facility and corporate departments to achieve project goals
- Participate in a mentor program to grow as an engineer and learn from others within the department
