LARGE VESSEL - ENGINEER

Qualifications/Requirements/Attributes:
- Third-Class Engineer Certificate issued by Transport Canada.
- SCTW Motor Certificate.
- Strong in sense of responsibility and pride in the overall condition of machinery.
- Strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experienced with Safety Management Systems.
- Valid Marine Basic First Aid or Advanced First Aid and CPR.
- Valid Seafarers Medical Certificate.
- Valid Canadian Passport with the ability to enter the US.
- A certification in the Transportation of Dangerous Goods will be considered an asset.
- As per company policy, a clear result of a pre-employment criminal background check.
- First Aid and CPR.
- Valid Seafarers Medical Certificate.

Responsibilities:
THE ROLE:
As a result of our robust growth, we are adding a Engineer to our team of professionals in our St. George, NB office. This position will report and work directly with the Vessel Captain
PRIMARY DUTIES ARE (NOT LIMITED TO):
- Safe and economical operations of all machinery on the vessel.
- Proper maintenance of all machinery on the vessel.
- Performs troubleshooting, and problem solving as well as preventative and corrective maintenance to prevent downtime and to ensure the efficient and continual functioning of the vessel.
- Environmental management
- Monitoring of bunkers and lubricants.
Maintain accurate records and other duties as assigned.
