Micron Technology, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Dry Etch Equipment Development Engineer to join our world-class Engineering team in Boise, ID, USA. In this role, you will have the unique opportunity to develop and implement advanced dry etch equipment solutions. You will collaborate with a team of highly skilled engineers to identify and successfully implement process and hardware improvements. Your contributions will directly influence the development of Micron’s leading memory and storage technologies.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • B.S. Degree with 1-2 years of related industry experience or an M.S. Degree. Degree should be in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, or related technical discipline

Responsibilities:

  • Solve challenging problems with creative engineering solutions.
  • Gain fundamental understanding of dry etch equipment and process.
  • Supporting the sustaining and sophisticated problem-solving activities of dry etch equipment, using a structured problem-solving approach, such as Model Based Problem Solving (MBPS).
  • Collaborate closely with the on-shift equipment team, vendor FSE’s, and operations team to coordinate complex activities.
  • Have a growth mindset and an ability to be proactive and reactive to enhance equipment performance.
  • Understand and apply SPC methodologies
  • Use scripting systems (Python, JSL, etc) to automate tasks and perform data analysis.
  • Lead cost of spares usage for area. Help drive projects to hit cost targets.
  • Willing to work full-time on-site in Boise, ID. Be available as-needed outside normal working hours to support time-sensitive issues.
  • Some limited amount of travel may be required as part of this critical role.
