Summary
For the “Environmental Engineering, EME & Machinery Safety” department, we are looking for an “Engineer for safety analyses with a focus on ergonomics (f/m/d)” at the Ulm site as soon as possible.
The “Environmental Engineering, EME & Machinery Safety” department carries out calculations and product safety analyses for system integrity to support mechanical and electrical development. The experimental tasks include climatic, mechanical (vibration, shock) and electromagnetic tests. The computational/experimental tasks are carried out both during development and to provide evidence to the authorities.

Your Tasks

  • Preparation of risk and hazard assessments in accordance with the Machinery Directive and relevant safety standards
  • Design and conception of products and projects in accordance with relevant norms and standards (DIN EN ISO 26800, DIN EN ISO 6385, Ergonomics Manual, MIL-STD 1472H, etc.)
  • Continuous analysis and evaluation of operating errors (Use Related Errors) of existing products with regard to user hazards
  • Implementation of all human factors engineering activities as part of the product development process (incl. context analyses)
  • Coordination of various measures for compliance with national and international standards in the area of product development
  • Development of human-centered display and operating concepts (HMI)
  • Consulting in the conception of project efforts
  • Conception of user-centered operating concepts

Your Profile

  • Completed studies in the field of ergonomics, human factors engineering, security and safety engineering, mechanical engineering or similar
  • Several years of experience in the field of product safety
  • Practical experience in systems engineering, especially in the field of system ergonomics is an advantage
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills, persuasiveness
  • Ability to work independently and show initiative
  • Structured, analytical and goal-oriented way of working
  • Very good knowledge of German and good knowledge of English
