REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Sciences, or related field preferred; equivalent experience will also be considered.
  • 3+ years hands-on experience as a Service Engineer, preferably working with analytical instrumentation or 3+ years relevant industry experience
  • Proficiency with Chromatography and Mass Spectrometry systems preferred
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to establish rapport with customers
  • Strong prioritization skills and ability to produce clear documentation
  • Availability for overnight travel up to 60% within the territory

Responsibilities:

  • Perform on-site installation, repair, maintenance, qualification, and validation of Chromatography and Mass Spectrometry systems
  • Collaborate with other Unity Lab Services (ULS) teams and Sales to deliver exceptional client-focused service
  • Use customer management software to track service calls, manage parts inventories, and complete job tasks.
  • Analyze reports and documentation from customers to determine the nature and scope of problems, and recommend appropriate solutions
  • Coordinate problem resolution with engineering, customer service, and other personnel to expedite repairs
  • Develop and conduct training on equipment operations and demonstrate skills to trainees
