MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • 5+ years of Mechanical Engineering experience leading the development of complex capital, and/or metrology, equipment. Advanced degrees highly desired and may substitute for experience. Equivalent combinations of education, training, and meaningful work experience may be considered.
  • Precision machine design proficiency, design for stiffness, controlling degrees of freedom, error budgeting, sensor selection, material selection, GD&T, design for manufacturability
  • Experience with Traditional and additive manufacturing methods and joining techniques (welding, brazing, …)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Masters or PhD in Physics, Mechanical, Systems or Electrical Engineering
  • Experience in semiconductor capital equipment development
  • Successful track record leading multi-functional technical teams
  • Experience with metrology, motion systems, machine vision, vacuum systems, ceramics, high voltage, wafer handling, automation and/or charged particle systems.
  • Experience with technology development and qualification
  • Proficiency with CAE
