POSITION SUMMARY

This position will provide Reliability Engineering Support to the Greenville Clean Utility systems across a sprawling pharmaceutical manufacturing campus. Support will span from various project phases to ongoing operations. Additionally, this position will serve as back up support to Reliability efforts in across the Greenville as it relates to various Utility and sustainability efforts. This position ensures all equipment within assigned scope is maintained in an optimal state to maximize equipment lifecycle. The Reliability Engineer will support sterile manufacturing spaces in operational states and work on systems including innovative pharma manufacturing equipment, site utility systems, life safety systems and controllers. Ability to coordinate between teams and work in compliance with GMP pharmaceutical regulations are needed to this position.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • High School or Diploma or GED is minimally required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or related field is preferred with four (4) + years of experience in a pharmaceutical manufacturing plant.
  • Two (2) + years of clean utility experience
  • Eight (8) + years of applicable experience as described below may be considered for equivalency to education.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:

  • General trades knowledge: i.e. construction, electrical, machine shop, general & specific areas of electro-mechanical disciplines, etc.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment, able to multi-task and is results-oriented.
  • Effective time management and prioritization skills. Highly effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Very high degree of interpersonal skills to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees and the public, including tact to handle sensitive matters.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive the development and implementation of effective and economically supported preventive or predictive maintenance programs.
  • Coordinate with the Calibrations team to facilitate initial calibration of new equipment.
  • Complete detailed spare part evaluation to control risk, reduce excessive inventory and improve asset operational availability.
  • Connect with all parties to ensure critical tasks are completed on time for new equipment readiness timelines.
  • Ensure equipment records are detailed thoroughly for maintainability.
  • Assist commissioning and startup activities or retro-commissioning activities.
  • Interact optimally with Engineering, Operations, Maintenance, Validation, IT, and also direct contractor activities.
  • Identify and drive Reliability Engineering initiatives to build a robust asset care program.
  • Continuously improve the site maintenance program by applying principles and methods of Reliability Centered Maintenance.
  • Identify and address chronic and costly equipment problems, eliminate repetitive failure.
  • Provide technical advice to maintenance and partners and lead root cause investigations. Assist with training others as appropriate.
  • Interact optimally with personnel in other departments such as Engineering, Operations, Maintenance, Validation, IT, and also direct contractor activities. Assist in creating job plans, , SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures), and MOPs (Methods of Procedure).
