MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

College degree in Engineering or a related field and 3-5 years professional level experience; or 7+ years professional level related Engineering/Technical experience; or an equivalent combination of education and professional level related Engineering/Technical experience required.
The starting compensation range for this position is $77,800 - $102,200.

Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE:

The Engineer III will support multiple areas of the Engineering Equipment Lifecycle Management functionality, including but not limited to IP and Transport. The role also entails leading and facilitating effective collaboration across all verticals of Engineering, NOC, Field Operations, Network Spare, Architecture, IT and Network Spares to create and implement companywide ELM processes. Strategize and build efficiency around equipment categorizations, equipment deployments & decommissions and Blue Planet Inventory management. The Engineer III will also lead the creation of programs to reduce network costs and customer outage hours related to network spares and equipment lifecycle management, as well as participate in organizational efforts to create, implement, and support programs for increasing development, recognition, and engagement.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Establish engineering objectives and execute on those objectives independently, with limited oversight
  • Work on solutions to complex issues independently, with limited oversight
  • Lead projects with multiple stakeholders thru Microsoft Teams, video calls and email correspondences
  • Develop detailed documentation and training to ensure knowledge handoff to other engineering teams and/or companywide as applicable
  • Assist fellow engineers in solving complex issues
  • Utilizes high-level of communication and interpersonal skills to establish and maintain positive and productive working relationships.
  • Create presentations of proposed solutions and present to leadership
  • Act as an advisor to peers.
  • Other duties as assigned.
