DESCRIPTION
In the Hamburg Team “Machinery & Infrastructure” we support our clients by either being directly integrated into the project organization of our customers or providing technical support with our broad service portfolio closely working together with other offices in DNV.
To grow and strengthen our competencies in these areas, especially in advisory, verification, and certification services, we are looking for an experienced Senior Engineer. Always keeping in mind to deliver our services to our customers’ full satisfaction, the candidate should be motivated to support our business process from sales to billing in a self-driven and commercially oriented manner also developing new and existing clients with a focus on areas and countries in our responsibility.
While integrating well into our existing team the candidate should be keen on reaching out to DNV’s network and providing our services in cooperation with other teams or sections in our department as well as the various offices within our region and global organization.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Our team “Machinery & Infrastructure” works closely together with various other units as well as the worldwide network of DNV. The range of projects in this area offers a variety of interdisciplinary tasks, technical challenges, and broad-based development opportunities. In this position, we are looking for an expert who works in a team with other specialists but also a project manager who is primarily responsible for handling own projects. Ideally, the candidate will have in-depth knowledge in one or more of the following key areas:
- Technical and commercial project- and claims management
- Preparing tender documents, proposals but also variation orders
- Contract negotiations with customers
- Design review of technical documents; for example, for on- and offshore cranes, steel hydraulic structures but also for mechanical or electrical components
- Provide own technical expertise to consult clients in staying on top of their challenges throughout the entire energy value chain
- In-service inspections, factory- and site acceptance tests (2nd/3rd party inspections)
- Condition and risk assessment of technical components or assets
- Application of the European Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC, the German regulation on health and safety in the use of work equipment, and the relevant German DGUV rules
