    About the role:
    We are looking for a full-time permanent Engineering Manager Aftermarket to join our Aftermarket team in Jandakot, WA. Reporting to Vice President – Aftermarket, you will lead a team of engineer and technical specialists in vibrating screens, crushing and TLO to develop and manage the engineering support capability across the company’s Aftermarkets team (AM).

Specifically, you will manage a team to:

  • Proactively seek solutions to improve customer asset performance and propose engineering solutions to improve safety, maintenance, and throughput.
  • Receive and manage customers’ technical enquires.
  • Foster a culture of safety operations, continuous improvement, and enhanced equipment performance.
  • Conduct customer workshops to seek opportunities for improvement.
  • Collaborate with clients and key stakeholders, R&D, and Engineering, to suggest design improvements that best suit the portfolio’s application.
  • Offer technical support and solutions to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Resolve customer complaints and warranty issues.
  • Participate in and lead customer presentations, product discussions, negotiations, conference calls, and other front-line marketing/sales efforts.
  • Provide technical support to customers, sales managers, and representatives.
  • Retention of product knowledge, training, and capability of in-field services.
  • Provide inputs on Sales Strategies and Budgets to deliver innovative and high-performance equipment.
  • Domestic (and occasionally international) travel as required.

To be successful in the above duties, you will have:

  • Relevant Mechanical, Electrical or Mechatronics Engineering degree from a tertiary institution recognized and/or accredited by Engineers Australia
  • 5 years of relevant experience in minerals processing and bulk materials handling
  • Preferred 5 years’ experience in manufacturing processes, including welding, NDT testing and repairs.
  • Ability to align value proposition with overall business strategy and voice of customer.
  • Experience in leading and managing diverse teams.
  • Skills in identifying and prioritizing key value drivers.
  • Clear and compelling communication of the value proposition to different stakeholders.
  • Ability to identify customer problems and articulate how the product or service solves them.

  • Technical aptitude with a strong desire to obtain a higher-level understanding of Sandvik equipment.
  • Proven experience on engineering design, governance and drawing review/approval.
