Thiess is seeking Mining Engineers for our NSW Sites, Muswellbrook Coal Mine Rehabilitation Project, Mt Arthur South and Mt Thorley Workshop. Monday to Friday roster based at various locations.

Key responsibilities in this role will include:

• Produce Short/Medium Term schedules and optimise Short/Medium Term mining plans.
• Develop rolling weekly excavator plans and schedules for the mining operation.
• Provide and implement designs, including pit and dump design, dozer push, rehabilitation and water management designs.
• Coordinate plans and schedules and monitoring of actual progress with benchmarks.
• Assist in the management of the weekly dig/dump plans.
• Implementation and compliance of the Weekly Plan and site Safety Health and Environmental standards to ensure safe and sustainable mine standards.
• Providing guidance and input into the drill and blast requirements
• Assessing opportunities to maximising equipment utilisation
• Assist with in house software and data capture software to run reports as required.
