Description:

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS FOR THE POSITION:

  • University degree in aeronautical or mechanical engineering with a specialization in gas turbines or propulsion systems
  • Experience in an aeronautical environment and knowledge about Part 21 would be considered as an advantage
  • Strong IT background with proficiency 3D CAD/CAM applications
  • Good communication skills with a consultative approach and proactive attitude
  • Responsive and supportive in decision-making
  • Flexible with working hours and willing to travel and occasionally work in other locations
  • Fluency in written and spoken English, other languages will be an advantage

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain safety of the Cargo fleet of aircraft
  • Maintain the required level of dispatch reliability of aircraft
  • Maintain cost effectiveness in the maintenance, repair and overhaul of engines and APU’s by review of shop visit reports and associated invoices to ensure that most economic decisions have been exercised in the performance of the specified work scope and is in accordance with the terms of the contract in force and the costs are commensurate with the work performed
  • Monitor engine condition and performance
  • Support maintenance and production activities, such as inspections and modifications of Cargoes and customer aircraft, engines and APU’s
  • Evaluate Airworthiness Directives and Service Bulletins
  • Provide engineering services to other departments
  • Maintain proficiency in aircraft engines and regulatory requirements
  • Defining work scope for the shop visits of engines and APU as appropriate
