ENGINEER SPEECH RECOGNITION (M/F/D)

You will be responsible for

• Lead the design, development, and optimization of speech recognition systems for in-vehicle applications
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including software engineers, UX/UI designers, and product managers to integrate speech recognition features seamlessly into automotive platforms
• Conduct thorough analysis and evaluation of speech recognition systems and their implementation in infotainment platforms on test benches, in vehicles and through automation. This includes defect analysis, reporting, tracking, and resolution confirmation in coordination with the SW release plan
• Propose innovative solutions to improve accuracy, robustness, and performance
• Drive research initiatives to explore emerging trends and advancements in speech processing, natural language understanding, and machine learning to enhance our automotive speech recognition capabilities
• Work closely with external partners, suppliers, and academic institutions to leverage industry best practices and stay at the forefront of speech recognition technology

Who we are looking for

• Bachelor’s, Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Phonetics or related field
• Proven track record of hands-on experience in speech recognition research and development, preferably in the automotive industry
• Solid understanding of acoustic modeling, language modeling, and deep learning architectures for speech recognition
• Excellent problem-solving skills, ability to work independently, and a strong sense of ownership and accountability
• Knowledge of automotive embedded systems, DSP (Digital Signal Processing), and audio signal processing
• Experience with cloud-based speech recognition services and APIs, and Profound knowledge in HMI and usability
• Good command of German and English, other European languages are an advantage
