Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are currently looking for an Engineer to join the team at our Blenheim/Havelock Site.
You will be responsible for performing maintenance and repairing plant equipment to minimize downtime and improve overall plant efficiency.
Hourly rate ranges from $35 - $40, based on your experience and qualifications, + On-call allowance
This is a full-time role, rostered, with a minimum of 40 hours each week.
Job Description

AS AN ENGINEER YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:

Day-to-day maintenance of the plant
Reporting breakdown and preventative maintenance tasks through the software-based system
Ensuring the production downtime is kept to a minimum
Maintaining all the documentation and records, both written and electronic
Maintaining relationships with the internal and external stakeholders
Keeping daily contact with the Maintenance Planner and Mechanical Lead
Following Health and Safety and Food Safety procedures
Handing over the information to the next shift
Keeping the workshop tidy
Qualifications

FOR THIS ROLE, YOU’LL NEED:

Engineering Trade
3+ years of Mechanical/Maintenance Engineering experience plus proven success in Preventative and Reactive maintenance
FMCG or Secondary Industry (Food Processing) experience would be advantageous
Proven Health and Safety practices as a daily priority
Ability to work well under pressure
An eye for detail and identifying areas for Improvement
Good time management, organisational skills and enthusiasm for getting it right
Good verbal and written communication skills
Relevant technical knowledge
Problem-solving skills
