POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

• A university degree in the engineering field (civil/structural).
• Professional Engineer license in one of the provinces (preferably Ontario).
• A minimum of 5 years of engineering experience with responsibility for engineering of complex structures.
• Experience in the steel construction industry.
• Knowledge, Skills and Competency Requirements.
• Knowledge in structural steel fabrication, connections and erection practices.
• Ability to read structural and architectural drawings.
• Analytical and Problem Solving skills.
• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
• Organizational skills and the ability to be flexible in managing changing priorities.
• Ability to juggle multiple tasks simultaneously and thrive in a complex environment with multiple priorities.
• A team player; one who can interrelate and operate effectively with peers and other associates within a collegial, yet demanding, work environment.
• Effective Listening and Communication Skills – Both Written and Oral.
• Excellent Computer Skills with above average knowledge of Excel.
• Knowledge of Tekla Structures is an asset.
