POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- A university degree in the engineering field (civil/structural).
- Professional Engineer license in one of the provinces (preferably Ontario).
- A minimum of 5 years of engineering experience with responsibility for engineering of complex structures.
- Experience in the steel construction industry.
- Knowledge, Skills and Competency Requirements.
- Knowledge in structural steel fabrication, connections and erection practices.
- Ability to read structural and architectural drawings.
- Analytical and Problem Solving skills.
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Organizational skills and the ability to be flexible in managing changing priorities.
- Ability to juggle multiple tasks simultaneously and thrive in a complex environment with multiple priorities.
- A team player; one who can interrelate and operate effectively with peers and other associates within a collegial, yet demanding, work environment.
- Effective Listening and Communication Skills – Both Written and Oral.
- Excellent Computer Skills with above average knowledge of Excel.
- Knowledge of Tekla Structures is an asset.
