Roles & Responsibilities:
We are currently recruiting for an Engineering Apprentice to join the team of highly skilled technicians here at Chessington World of Adventures.
In this role, you will learn the key principles of Engineering & Maintenance of all our fantastic rides. Supported by your studies, you will gain an understanding of the statutory and legislative requirements of keeping our guests, colleagues and business safe at all times.
As you develop within your role, you will always have Health & Safety as your number 1 priority, learning more about Merlin Entertainments and the amazing career you could have working for the UK’s number 1 Theme Park Resort.

Responsibilities:
- Health, Safety and Risk Assessment including working at heights and manual handling
- Analytical and scientific methods for Engineers
- Instrumentation and Control Principles and Applications
- Mathematics for Engineering Technicians
- Principles of attraction/ride maintenance strategy and daily, weekly, monthly, annual preventative maintenance
- Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic and Digital Principles, Processes and Applications
- Quality Management/Assurance Principles and Safety Management Systems
- Applications for Pneumatics and Hydraulics
- Destructive and non-destructive inspection techniques
- Ride and Attraction maintenance processes, principles and applications
- Principles of First Aid and supporting the evacuation of customers
