Description:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or equivalency required. College or Technical School preferred, but not required. Must have pre-engineering or related course work in vocational school or college, or equivalent knowledge gained through experience is desirable. A program of continuing education in fields pertaining to the electric industry may be required. Computer skills in the use of various word processing, spread sheet, and design software is also required. Must have the ability to assume responsibility and exercise good judgment, and have effective interpersonal communication skills.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Knowledge of the Cooperative’s service area. Knowledge of RUS specifications and assemblies as well as the National Electrical Safety Code. Knowledge of personal computer applications including spreadsheets, word processing, databases, CAD applications, and NISC systems associated with job function.
WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL ABILITIES
Work hours include 8:00 am to 4:30 pm with one half hour for lunch. The employee is required to work on a callout basis, which will include odd and unusual hours, including Saturdays, Sundays, holidays or evening. Incumbent of this classification is required to be available for emergency and/or pre-arranged work whenever called upon regardless weather conditions exist. The job requires interacting with other departments and the general public. Requires repetitive motions with hand and fingers such as keyboarding. Minimal exposure to fumes, odors, dust and dirt. Must be able to read, write and do arithmetic. Must be able to present information to others and work in a fast paced environment
Responsibilities:
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist with auditing duties.
- Reconcile record units with materials
- Review contractor invoices
- Prepare information for material shortage deductions
- Any other miscellaneous auditing related duties
- Maintenance of contractor information and records
- Assist in preparation of contractor documents and contracts
- Maintain records of storm contractors
- Assist with publications of standards
- Maintain information within construction units system
- Assist with production of specifications manual
- Assist with other office functions including scanning, filing, sorting, etc.
- Follow Cooperative, OSHA, state, and other regulatory rules and procedures as they pertain to, but not limited to, safety in the workplace.
- Assist in office mapping functions.
