Heidelberg Materials is seeking an Engineering Co-Op Student. Reporting to the Operations Manager, Lower Mainland Aggregates, Asphalt, and Recycling, the Engineering Co-Op Student will work with the Lower Mainland Aggregates Operations Department. This position will assist with ongoing projects and well as various day to day tasks at the Lower Mainland Aggregate sites. This position is in Vancouver, BC.
The co-op work term will be 8 months starting in May 2024.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

  • Good interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
  • Third or fourth year Engineering in Mechanical, Materials, Mining, or Integrated Engineering.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment.
  • Knowledge and interest of aggregate mining and/or materials handling is an asset.
  • A current driver’s license.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the Operations Team with managing and communicating KPIs
  • Review and improve site safety processes and programs
  • Maintenance Support
  • Inventory audits
  • Inventory management review
  • Project support
  • Aid site staff in implementing plant efficiency improvement projects.
  • Other duties as required.
