Responsibilities:
We have recently established a new position for an Engineering Data Analyst at our Perth CBD office. The primary objective of this role is to aggregate and analyse data, deriving insights that will aid engineers and other stakeholders in enhancing the management of Thermal Generation assets.
The role involves engineering data analytics, generating insights on asset management through BI tools including PowerBI dashboard, and aiding in regulatory adherence. A crucial aspect of this position is the flexibility to adjust and undertake additional responsibilities as needed.
The successful candidate will play a critical role in optimizing our operations and ensuring effective management of our Thermal Generation assets.
Key responsibilities of the role include:
- Collaborate with Synergy’s power stations or battery storage systems, acting as the focal point for data analysis and reporting on plant performance
- Provide data analytics support to Thermal Generation by being the central source for gathering financial, HSE, and Plant Outages data
- Co-ordinate and ensure all outages and production events across all Thermal Generation facilities are captured and reported
- Review and analyse policies, procedures, and practices to identify potential areas of risk or non-compliance
- Monitoring compliance developments, including changes in legislative and regulatory obligations and also engaging with and advising the business on effective management and continuous improvement of its compliance obligations and plant performance
