This is the role

The EHS Libryo Engineering Delivery Manager is responsible for the following:

  • Plan, coordinate and supervise engineering projects and supervise multiple teams
  • Build and manage diverse teams of engineers from different disciplines
  • Formulate and execute strategies, and coordinate with other managers
  • Determining the need for training and talent development
  • Develop and implement policies, standards and procedures for the engineering department across all teams
  • Hiring, recruiting and training of engineering talent
  • Oversee the development and maintenance of engineering team competence
  • Develop evaluation criteria that will serve to measure progress and effectiveness of departmental operations
  • Provide performance ratings and reviews for team members
  • Review department objectives for adequacy and consistency with business

objectives

  • Monthly reporting of departmental metrics
  • Drive continuous improvement of processes, quality and cost to maintain profitability and competitiveness
  • Define, manage, measure and report relevant Key Performance Indicators
  • Define workflows, jobs, and reporting relationships to obtain optimum effectiveness
  • Identifies resource needs and develops justification
  • Coach and develop members of the engineering team.

Requirements

  • Understand scaling and enjoy the opportunity to grow an engineering team
  • Decision making, problem-solving and have excellent organisational skills to

balance and prioritise work

  • Lead teams and work jointly across departments
  • Above average analytical skills to troubleshoot and resolve people and process problems
  • Great attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • At least 10 years of experience managing/working in engineering teams
