Description:

Shangri-La Sydney is looking for Maintenance - Painter to join our Engineering Department to perform general painting, wallpapering, repairs to decorative finishes and general handyman tasks.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Painting and varnishing expertise.
  • Wallpaper and decorative finishes repairs.
  • Assist carpenter in wall preparation and plaster work.
  • Color matching and paint mixing.
  • Fabric and furniture finish repairs.
  • Instructs other engineering staff in correct methods of surface preparation and paint application and in other areas of his trade expertise.
  • Maintain task records and material lists.
  • Ensure tool security and workspace cleanliness.
  • Perform handyman duties as needed.

Your Profile:

  • Recognized Painter trade or similar.
  • Prior hotel painting experience.
  • Willingness to support the Engineering team.
  • Knowledge of manual handling techniques.
  • Full availability for a 7-day rotating roster.
  • Full Australian working rights
