Job Description
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS :
- Candidates must be currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS :
- Interest in Roads and Bridges
- Previous Bridge Engineering Co-op
- Strong interpersonal, negotiating, problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Structural Modeling Experience
- Field Experience
Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate strong technical background and interest in design of bridges and transportation structures.
- Learn and assist with building analytic and design skills
- Assist with the preparation of preliminary and detailed design for design of bridges, culverts, retaining walls and other transportation structures under the guidance of an experienced Engineer
- Help create designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings, and final working drawings under the guidance of an experienced Engineer
- Collecting and analyzing data
- Using computer software as a tool for solving engineering problems
- Coordinating design efforts with other disciplines
- Assist in communicating with clients and attend project meetings
- Performing work in accordance with agreed-upon budget and schedule under supervision
- Learn how to maintain high quality deliverables
- Other duties as assigned, including project deliverables, reports, specifications, coordination
- Ability to work as part of a team
