Job Description

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS :

  • Candidates must be currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS :

  • Interest in Roads and Bridges
  • Previous Bridge Engineering Co-op
  • Strong interpersonal, negotiating, problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Structural Modeling Experience
  • Field Experience

Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate strong technical background and interest in design of bridges and transportation structures.
  • Learn and assist with building analytic and design skills
  • Assist with the preparation of preliminary and detailed design for design of bridges, culverts, retaining walls and other transportation structures under the guidance of an experienced Engineer
  • Help create designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings, and final working drawings under the guidance of an experienced Engineer
  • Collecting and analyzing data
  • Using computer software as a tool for solving engineering problems
  • Coordinating design efforts with other disciplines
  • Assist in communicating with clients and attend project meetings
  • Performing work in accordance with agreed-upon budget and schedule under supervision
  • Learn how to maintain high quality deliverables
  • Other duties as assigned, including project deliverables, reports, specifications, coordination
  • Ability to work as part of a team
